Total Solar Eclipse

I've always loved astronomy and I guess I've always been sort of a geek. I asked for a telescope when I was 8 years old and loved looking at the moon, planets and anything else I could find like the Orion Nebula. The pinnacle of astronomy for me has always been wanting to see a total solar eclipse, and this last weekend on August 21, 2017 I finally had my chance. We packed our bags, which required packing all of my gear with redundancy, and we headed to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This is a composite image of 4 shots of the eclipse: inner corona, middle corona, outer corona and the earth shine on the moon. Processing in Photoshop by centering the images of the moon, then bringing them in and creating a smart object from the 4 layers. I then combined them with the Stack Mode of Mean and then used a radial blur and multiplying the result to bring more detail out in the corona. The black and white processing was by using Silver Effect Pro to bring out more contrast detail. I'm a
